BuyerSide Türkiye

How it works

In short

An inspection with BuyerSide Türkiye runs in five steps: you send the product, factory and shipping date; we issue a fixed-fee scope; you prepay by SWIFT or card; we schedule with the factory and attend on site with an AQL sampling plan; and you receive a photographed report with a pass, conditional pass or fail verdict within 24 hours of leaving the site.

The five steps

  1. You tell us the product, the factory and the date

Three lines of email is enough to start. If you have a purchase order, specification sheet or drawings, send them — they become the inspection checklist. If you do not have a written specification, we will tell you so before quoting, because an inspection without a specification can only check quantity and obvious damage.

  2. We issue a fixed-fee scope

One page. What will be checked, how many units will be sampled, which AQL level, what counts as a critical, major and minor defect, when the report arrives, and the price. Nothing in it changes later without your written agreement.

  3. You prepay

SWIFT transfer to our Turkish foreign-currency account, or card via Payoneer for the $50 verification. Work begins when funds clear. We do not invoice in arrears and we do not accept payment from anyone but you.

  4. We schedule and attend

We book the visit with the factory, confirm that production is genuinely finished (a wasted trip is the most common cause of a failed inspection week), and attend with a written checklist, sampling plan, camera, and the measuring equipment the product requires.

  5. You get the report within 24 hours

PDF, in English, with a front-page verdict, the sampling maths, a defect table classified as critical/major/minor, photographs referenced to defects, and — if the verdict is not a clean pass — a plain recommendation about what to do before you release money.

What a verdict means

VerdictWhat it meansWhat we recommend
PassSampling found defects within the agreed AQL limits and no critical defects.Release the balance and ship.
Conditional passLimits met, but something is outside specification in a way you may accept commercially — a shade variation, a packaging error, a short lead on one SKU.Decide commercially. We give you the evidence and the cost of each option.
FailCritical defect present, or major defects exceed the agreed AQL limit, or quantity is short.Do not release the balance. Re-inspection after rework, billed at half a man-day if within 14 days.

One thing we will not do

We will not change a verdict because the factory asks, because the vessel is booked, or because a failed shipment is inconvenient. If you want the goods anyway, that is a commercial decision you are entitled to make — but it will be recorded as your instruction, not as our finding.

What we need from you

  • The factory name, address and a contact person
  • The purchase order or proforma invoice
  • A written specification, drawing or approved sample — or an honest statement that none exists
  • Your accepted AQL level, if you have a standard one (if not, we propose ISO 2859-1 General Level II, 2.5 major / 4.0 minor)
  • Packaging and labelling requirements, including barcodes and destination-market marking
  • The scheduled ship date

Frequently asked questions

How long does an inspection take?

One man-day covers roughly 1,000 to 3,000 units of a simple product at a single site. Complex products, multiple SKUs or several sites need more days; we tell you the number in the scope before you pay, not after.

What if the factory refuses to let you in?

That is itself a finding, and one of the most useful you can buy. We report it in writing the same day. In our experience a factory that blocks a buyer-appointed inspector has a specific reason.

Can you attend without telling the factory in advance?

Unannounced inspection is possible where your contract with the supplier allows it. It produces far more honest results and we recommend building the right into your purchase terms. Without that clause, the factory can simply refuse entry.

Do you re-inspect after rework?

Yes, at half a man-day if the re-inspection happens within 14 days of the original visit and at the same site.
